PRAYERS FOR THE SICK

O GOD of heavenly powers, who, by the might of your command, drivest away from our bodies all sickness and all infirmity; Be present in your goodness with your servant [N.], that their weakness may be banished and their strength recalled; that their health being restored, they may bless thy holy Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

O ALMIGHTY God, who art the giver of all health, and the aid of them that turn to you for succor; We entreat your strength and goodness in behalf of this your servant [N.], that they may be healed of their infirmities, to your honour and glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

COMFORT, we beseech thee, most gracious God, this thy servant, cast down and faint of heart amidst the sorrows and difficulties of the world; and grant that, by the power of thy Holy Spirit, they may be enabled to go upon their way rejoicing, and give thee continual thanks for thy sustaining providence; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

HEAR us, Almighty and most merciful God and Saviour; extend your accustomed goodness to this your servant who is grieved with sickness, Visit them, O Lord, with your loving mercy, and so restore them to their former health, that they may give thanks unto you in your holy Church; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

O MERCIFUL God, giver of life and health; Bless, we pray thee, thy servant, [N.], and those who administer to them of thy healing gifts; that they may be restored to health of body and of mind; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
