“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights,
who does not change like shifting shadows.”  James 1:17

Central to our lives together is the recognition that creation is a gift from a generous God. Our response to God’s grace is gratitude and life-changing generosity.  Your generosity and gifts make a tangible difference in our worship, community life, and our outreach to the world.

We believe that responding to God’s blessings by giving freely of the gifts and resource we have received help us grow in the grace and knowledge of God.  Your generosity changes your life and strengthen the mission and ministry of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church.

Pledge

What is a pledge? A pledge is an estimate of how much financial support you plan to give to St. Matthew’s each year.  It is not a binding contract.  If circumstances change, pledges may be revised up or down depending on your situation by contacting our bookkeeper, Edith Waugh at

Why pledge?  Your pledge makes it possible for St. Matthew’s to create a budget for our staffing, ministries, and outreach for the coming year.

How do I pledge?  You may pledge by filling out a pledge card and delivering it to the church. Pledge cards are available in the church office.

Volunteer

Volunteering impacts our worship, community life, and outreach to the world. Wherever you are in your faith journey, you can choose one or a few opportunities to serve at St. Matthew’s. Whether you are good with numbers, words, technology, or people, sharing your gifts and skills makes a difference.  God gave us talents and skills we can use to serve others and the church.  Please let us know how you would like to serve by emailing fatherles@stmatthewsnewton.org
