St. Matthew’s outreach committee coordinates community partnerships in reaching out to meet the needs of others through involvement and financial support. Organizations and efforts include:

Love Thy Neighbor Pantry: Just outside St. Matthews (2001 Windsor Dr) is a box for food, children’s book and pet food. Take what you need.  Leave what you can.  

Salvation Army “Harvest of Love” Food bank: Collecting non-perishable food items

Souper Bowl of Caring: Collecting soup cans

Mitten Tree: Collecting mittens for the area elementary school.

Shut Ins & Soldiers: Sending cards to shut ins and soldiers.

Adopt a Family

Meals on Wheels: Once a month we deliver hot meals

Community Garden: Next to our church building is a very large garden for the community

Back to School: Collecting school supplies for the area elementary school

Payee Program: A payee is a person/agency selected by the Social Security Administration to manage benefits of individuals who are unable to manage their benefits due to disability. We currently serve over 160 people.

Alcoholics Anonymous: Alcoholics Anonymous meets at 6:30 p.m. Fridays in the St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in the room directly west of the community room.
